Abstract Photography

Purposes:
· To gain a better understanding of abstract photography.
· To Photograph everyday objects keeping in mind form, line, pattern and textures. Experiment with light, mirrors or glass.
· To build upon you learned in Photo 1, think about reflections, shapes, shadows and composition.

Steps:


In order to "truly" abstract your subject, think about how you might change the context of it. For example; pay close attention to "unusual" perspectives and the way that light falls across the object and/or the patterns and shapes that are casted.

Photograph 2 rolls of 24 exposure film.

Photograph inside the school building or outside.

Film must be complete by the end of class.

Be prepared to process film on 3/11.
